Occupational Therapist
(Masters of Occupational Therapy, USyd)
NDIS Occupational Therapist | Functional & Home Modification Specialist
I am a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a strong foundation in education and over 17 years of teaching experience, bringing a deep understanding of learning, development, and individualised support into my clinical practice.
After relocating to Australia in 2019, I completed my Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney. My transition from education to occupational therapy was driven by a passion for empowering individuals to achieve meaningful independence in their everyday lives.
Experience with NDIS Participants
I work closely with NDIS participants across a range of physical, neurological, and complex presentations, providing:
-
Comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)
-
Assistive technology assessments and recommendations
-
Detailed reports aligned with NDIS criteria
-
Capacity-building interventions
-
Collaborative goal setting with participants, families, and support teams
I understand the importance of clear, evidence-based documentation to support funding outcomes and participant goals.
Complex Home Modification Specialist
I specialise in Level 1 and 2 / Complex Home Modifications, having met the required NDIS prerequisites to deliver complex environmental solutions.
Services include:
-
Home environment assessments
-
Major and complex modification reports
-
Collaboration with builders, architects, and certifiers
-
Risk assessments and compliance documentation
-
Functional justification aligned with NDIS standards
My focus is on creating safe, accessible environments that maximise independence and long-term participation.
My Approach
I bring a calm, practical, and collaborative approach to therapy. With my background in education, I value clear communication, structured goal planning, and empowering participants to build sustainable skills.
I am committed to delivering professional, timely, and high-quality reports to support positive NDIS outcomes.
Personal Philosophy
Outside of work, I prioritise health and wellbeing and enjoy staying active — I firmly believe in “exercise to eat.” Maintaining my own wellbeing allows me to bring energy, empathy, and resilience to my clients every day.
